As Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in our kitchen—supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations, ensuring consistently high-quality food preparation, and contributing to menu development. You will help oversee kitchen staff, maintain a clean and efficient workspace, and uphold excellent food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen management
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service
- Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard across all dining areas
- Contribute to menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage
- Help oversee catering for functions, events, and golf club activities
We’re looking for someone who brings creativity, professionalism, and a positive attitude to the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- A passion for fresh, high-quality food
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days as required
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III/IV or equivalent) essential
