Kokumai - Barangaroo – Full Time Sous Chef

Kokumai at Barangaroo, a high‑end Japanese dining experience in the heart of Sydney. We produce high‑quality Japanese cuisine to delight our guests. We are looking to add a Sous Chef to support our Head Chef as we grow and evolve our business, culminating in providing memorable dining experiences.

Requirements for this role:
  • Flexible hours available
  • 1 year of relevant work experience required
  • Expected salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
Responsibilities:
  • Produce high‑quality Japanese cuisine alongside our Head Chef and team.
  • Work as part of a team to reach high standards of food quality and safe, hygienic work practices.
  • Create ideas, using creativity to contribute to our menu and operations.
  • Support and teach junior members to help them grow and succeed, providing good leadership.
  • Handle stock control, ordering and general kitchen management.
  • Maintain and enforce high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
