Role OverviewReporting to the Venue Manager and Precinct Sommelier, this Sommelier will assist with the smooth running of daily beverage operations at one of Sydney's most beautiful venues. Working with an all‑Australian wine list, the role is service focused, providing exceptional customer service to all guests, while also helping with stock control and team training. The position starts as casual with the potential to grow into a full‑time role for the right person.
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hatted venue or similar.
- High attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and resolve problems efficiently.
- Knowledge of Australian wine & spirits.
- Working with a new and dynamic beverage team within the Trippas White Group with mentorship and career growth opportunities.
- Weekly tasting & education groups within the TWG team.
- Potential for furthering education within WSET and/or CMS.
- Working & contributing to a 450‑bin wine list with an opportunity for growth.
- This position can either suit an experienced Sommelier ready for a new challenge or a Junior Sommelier looking to progress in their career.
