TITLE

Restaurant Manager

English Language

This position requires a high level of proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with staff, suppliers, and customers.

Full‑Time Position

This is a full‑time, ongoing position based in Jugiong, NSW. Standard working hours: 38 hours per week, with flexibility for weekends and evenings as required.

Occupation Tasks
  • Organises and controls the operations of a cafe, restaurant or related establishment to provide dining and catering services.
  • Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
  • Planning and organising special functions.
  • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
  • Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
  • Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
  • Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
  • May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate hospitality teams.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and execute functions and events.
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards.
  • Financial management experience including stock control and budgeting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Qualifications
  • AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field; OR
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Additional on‑the‑job training or relevant hospitality certifications may be required.
