Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager

Salter Brothers Hospitality Retreat Company No. 2 Pty Ltd is inviting applications for a full‑time Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager based in Blue Mountains, NSW 2785.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure restaurant, bar and event service meets company Sequence of Service and RSA requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to produce appealing and unique menus.
  • Coordinate bookings including functions and events.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and hygiene legislation/guidelines.
  • Achieve food and beverage operational and financial objectives.
  • Resolve guest complaints tactfully and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate stocktakes and optimise ordering of stock.
  • Adhere to current budgets and targets.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Act and regulations.
  • Motivate and drive the food and beverage team through ongoing training, coaching and mentoring.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Relevant qualification in the hospitality industry.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven management experience working in hospitality/customer service environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and get results.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standards.
  • Technical product knowledge in food and wine.
  • Understanding of budgets and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of POS and end‑of‑day reconciliation procedures.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 per annum.
