Samson’s Paddock is Mosman Park’s local restaurant, whisky & wine bar. Our menu is designed to be shared, seasonal, modern Australian cuisine. Restaurant ManagerThe Restaurant Manager will work closely with the venue manager & bar manager with a focus on training, managing service delivery, closing the venue & delivering on our FOH offering standards.
Duties & Responsibilities- Close the restaurant, supervise shifts as the approved manager.
- Lead the team by example, coordinating ongoing training programs.
- Have a detailed understanding of our company culture, systems, offering & products.
- Plan menus in consultation with chefs.
- Plan and organise special functions.
- Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
- Ensure dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
- Confer with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
- Select, train and supervise waiting and kitchen staff.
- Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
- Work with the kitchen to manage the flow of service.
- Manage problems during service and understand how to resolve them.
- Complete the cash up at the end of a shift.
- Be responsible for rostering of full‑time & casual staff to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Assist in the management of stock levels and financial transactions.
- Ensure all staff follow procedures, delivering a quality fast & friendly service.
- Handle customer feedback/manage expectations during service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand each role within our front of house team and be able to assist where required.

You will ideally already possess 1+ years of hospitality experience in a comparable Management role.
