SRI PUBLISHING CO PTY LTD T/as Dorsal by the Sea Restaurant is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager who can join our team. Dorsal by the Sea Restaurant is located at 1 West St, Forster NSW 2428, Australia. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Working hours: Full-time (38 hours) per week.
Duties and Responsibilities- Motivate and inspire the team to exceed guest expectations at every opportunity.
- Assist in managing forecasting and budgets across beverage, food and staff costs.
- Maintain stock control procedures with exceptional accuracy, including purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
- Plan menu in consultation with Chef & report directly to owner or Management Team.
- Organize functions & day‑to‑day running of the restaurant.
- Implement, execute and maintain outstanding levels of service, creating a benchmark for the wider team and inspiring and leading them to operate and deliver to the same standards.
- Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
- Maintain the venue's cleanliness and maintenance to the highest standards.
- Ensure compliance, food handling, OH&S regulations and that dining facilities comply with health regulations, is clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
- Must have a Diploma of Hospitality Management or Bachelor of Hospitality Management, or a relevant Degree.
- Must have experience working as a Restaurant Manager for 3 – 4 Years.
