On behalf of our client, Samphire & Hotel Rottnest, we are advertising. Samphire & Hotel Rottnest are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to join their team on a full-time basis on Rottnest Island. A family business through and through, Prendiville Group owns and operates 21 iconic tourism, hospitality and entertainment facilities across three states.
We are thrilled to be providing a fabulous opportunity to join a great team. Hotel Rottnest and Samphire Rottnest, located on the premiere tourist destination Rottnest Island, are well known for offering a unique experience with amazing views over Thomson Bay. Primary Objectives:
- Responsible for managing and organizing daily restaurant operations with a goal of controlling costs and providing a high-quality experience to customers.
- Areas of operation range from personnel management to cook and waiting staff coordination to inventory management.
Tasks & Duties:
- Work, and develop relationships, with external suppliers to ensure the very best reputation within the industry, and receives the service required to ensure that the operational Food and Beverage team can deliver the highest quality product, and the highest financial return.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure correct stock levels are available and to assist the operational Food and Beverage team.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene and Safety legislation and requirements.
- Champion a training culture within the restaurant team to ensure success and a culture that exceeds the very best the industry has to offer.
- Restaurant Manager will constantly review the product range to ensure that all key quality standards are maintained.
- The job holder will be responsible for maintaining and helping enforce the agreed brand standards.
- The Restaurant Manager will be required to operate within efficient labour budgets for each season, tracking labour spending and providing input regarding capital projects and initiatives.
- The job holder will need to be conversant in latest trends in food nutrition for our target audience and contribute to the ongoing nutritional developments.
- The Restaurant Manager is expected to provide constant leadership, counselling, advice and feedback to their peers.
- They must provide an environment of openness and trust, with constant feedback and performance coaching.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years relevant experience
- At least a diploma or higher in a relevant qualification
- Be able to work in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
- Have a passion for delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Have strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
