About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our talented culinary team at The Charles Boutique Hotel and Dining in Wagga Wagga, NSW. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests through the preparation and presentation of high-quality, innovative dishes.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards
• Ensuring efficient and effective kitchen operations through proper stock management, cost control and food handling procedures
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop creative and seasonal menus
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment in the kitchen
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

• Relevant hospitality qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel environment
• Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of cuisines and dishes
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen management best practices
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
