About the Role: Goose Goose Bake Pty Ltd, a local favourite in Rozelle, is seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, creating, and presenting a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our exacting standards and delight customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and execute a diverse range of pastries, bread, and desserts, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
- Develop and create new pastry and bread offerings using local flavours and seasonal ingredients.
- Oversee ingredient ordering, storage, and inventory management to maintain quality and minimize waste.
- Execute the complete pastry production process, including dough preparation, baking, cooling, and decoration.
- Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene, safety, and WorkSafe regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a bakery setting.
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques and high-quality food preparation.
- Knowledge of Australian Food Hygiene Regulations and safe handling practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Work in a professional and supportive environment in the vibrant Rozelle suburb.
- Competitive full-time salary of $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
