Hotel Manager (resort Manager)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Hotel/Resort Manager to oversee daily operations at one of our Surfers Paradise Properties, ensuring smooth business performance, excellent guest experiences, and ongoing compliance with hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Directing and coordinating front office operations including reservations, reception, and guest services
• Overseeing housekeeping, room maintenance, and property presentation to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and comfort
• Managing booking systems and online distribution channels to maximise occupancy and revenue
• Supervising security arrangements and ensuring the general safety and wellbeing of guests and staff
• Coordinating property maintenance, landscaping, and external contractor services where required
• Monitoring guest feedback and satisfaction to continually improve service quality
• Overseeing administrative, accounting, and purchasing functions to ensure efficient operations
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety and other relevant workplace regulations
• Providing guests with local information about attractions, tours, and transport options when required

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in hotel, motel, or resort management
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Proficiency with hotel booking systems and property management software
• Sound understanding of guest service excellence and operational efficiency
• Ability to manage and train staff, coordinate maintenance, and oversee financial performance

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is desirable.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant management experience in a hotel, motel, or resort environment

Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
