Mandala Hotels and Resorts, a fast-growing Hotel and Resort organisation, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to lead day‑to‑day operations at one of our venues in the beautiful Berry region.

Situated in the heart of Berry, Mandala Signature Berry Village Boutique Motel, is a 25‑room, high‑end four‑star property providing stylish country accommodation.

We are seeking a dynamic hospitality professional who wishes to enjoy the best that Australia has to offer, strives to provide exceptional guest experiences, and loves to bring out the best in their team. This is a hands‑on role suited to a passionate hospitality professional with proven food and beverage expertise and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences in high‑performing regional hotels.

About the Role

Mandala Hospitality values people first. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing aspects of hotel food and beverage operations, including guest satisfaction, food and beverage service, staff management, and compliance. The skills and talents you bring will play a critical leadership role in maintaining high standards and maximising performance.

What Your Days Might Look Like
  • Deliver high‑quality daily service operations
  • Have extraordinary culinary flair and a motivating leadership style to support your team
  • Ensure high‑quality and presentation of food provided to guests, according to property standards and timeframes of service
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment with emphasis on high food safety standards
  • Manage stock, suppliers, team, and service standards
  • Deliver seamless daily service from start to finish, ensuring exceptional guest experiences
  • Confidently run your own section and maintain high presentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with RSA
  • Work across day, night, weekday and weekend shifts as required (this is a 4‑day working week/38 hours)
About You
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef with a strong food and beverage background
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Current RSA and relevant hospitality certifications
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Strong understanding of compliance and operational procedures
  • A hands‑on, proactive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Confidence in operations, training, and service delivery
  • Team player
  • Willingness to live in regional locations across Australia
