We are seeking a passionate head chef for our award winning restaurant - Coal River Farm - just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD in Cambridge. Surrounded by passionate artisans making cheese and chocolate you will bring your passion for food to our family business.
Overseeing a small kitchen team servicing the restaurant and our pantry production activity the head chef is a job that offers attractive working hours and an opportunity to stamp your own mark on Tasmania’s food scene.
The position primarily involves working in the kitchen with day time shifts (we open 7 days, 9-5) and the occasional wedding/corporate event in the evening. As well as restaurant fare you will also be involved in the development, oversight and production of lavosh, preserves, relishes, pickles, nuts, and other artisanal produce.
The head chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen operation from end to end and report directly to the owners.
