About the role

As a Finance Business Partner - Strategic Finance , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of Australian Retirement Trust. Reporting to the Lead Finance Business Partner - Strategic Finance, you’ll be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our 5-year financial plan, delivering strategic revenue insights, and partnering with senior leaders to support ART’s 2030 vision.
Day to day, you'll:
Lead the development and ongoing management of a 5-year rolling financial plan aligned with SPS 515, supporting strategic decision‑making.
Deliver accurate and timely financial insights, including performance reports, trend analysis, and Board/Committee reporting.
Create a revenue driver tree to support forecasting and performance analysis.
Partner with Strategy and business leaders to identify opportunities that drive performance and support risk and financial goals.
Support investment decisions through financial modelling, business case reviews, and benefit analysis.
Contribute to strategic projects such as pricing analysis, competitor benchmarking, and activity‑based costing.
This role is available as a 12‑month max‑term/ secondment opportunity.
About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated knowledge in the financial services sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to contribute to strategic planning and business outcomes.
- Advanced skills in financial modelling, scenario analysis, and interpreting complex data sets.
- Experience preparing and presenting both financial and non‑financial reports for executive and regulatory audiences.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (such as PowerBI) and superannuation legislation is an advantage.
