Position SummaryWe are looking for a passionate Commis Pastry Chef to join our culinary team in the main kitchen, supporting the pastry section in the preparation and execution of a wide range of high-quality pastry and bakery items.
The Role- Assists the Chef de Partie in running the assigned workstation.
- Produces a consistent, high-quality product and provides a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.
- Has full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned station to the standard set.
- Is flexible and adapts to required rotation within the Culinary Division.
- Maintains the general standards of the kitchen as well as the implementation of the kitchen manual rules and regulations for the section.
- Ensures that all colleagues adhere to guidelines in accordance with the Food, Health, Hygiene and Safety manuals.
- Tertiary education or culinary qualifications.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Food Safety Hygiene experience.
