Job DescriptionWe are looking for a part‑time Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Barossa Valley. The role focuses on learning from senior chefs, showcasing a love for food, creative sparks, and strong teamwork abilities.
PurposeAs our part‑time Commis Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our team, learning from our experienced senior chefs and creating dishes that leave a lasting impression.
Primary Responsibilities- Ensure that food presented to guests aligns with property standards and is served within designated timeframes.
- Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in preparing food items.
- Receive ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs.
- Handle a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes.
- Recognised culinary training and employment experience.
- Commercial cookery certification and preferably a safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor.
- Ambition, raw talent, and a passion for food.
- Open to feedback and willing to experiment with new ideas.
- Thriving in a fast‑paced team environment is key.
- Clear and articulate communication.
