Commis Chef (Full‑time)We are looking for a dedicated, fast‑paced Commis Chef to join our highly acclaimed Kitchen team. You will work with the Kitchen Brigade, which consists of approximately 60 colleagues, and the opportunity to grow your hotel skill set and build a career within Langham.
Responsibilities- Prepare and present a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, including meats, seafood, vegetables, desserts, and pastries, while ensuring high standards of hygiene, quality, and presentation.
- Support kitchen operations by guiding kitchen attendants and cooks, maintaining a clean work area, attending team briefings and training, and ensuring readiness for service.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace by following health, safety and hygiene procedures, reporting hazards, and assisting in creating a positive and respectful team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
- Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Look smart – wear your uniform with pride.
- Ability to work effectively and meet deadlines as part of a team in a high‑pressure environment.
- Certificate III of Commercial Cookery or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Requirement for rotating shifts.
