Your tasks & responsibilities will include but won’t be limited to:
- Assist the Sous‑Chef and Head Chef with the preparation of high‑quality dishes from scratch, including items from the à‑la‑carte menu and traditional Irish home‑cooked meals
- Carry out food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, portioning, mixing and mise en place
- Follow the recipes, standards and directions set by the Sous‑Chef to ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion size
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, tools and equipment in accordance with kitchen hygiene and food‑safety standards
- Assist with stock rotation, labelling, dating and proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce wastage
- Ensure that supplies and equipment required for service are prepared and available
- Support the Sous‑Chef in maintaining efficient workflow and timely service during busy periods
To meet our business’ needs, you will be required to:
- Hold a qualification in Commercial Cookery
- Have a minimum of two years’ professional experience
- Have experience with Irish cuisine and traditional meals
- Demonstrate a passion for good food, flavours and quality ingredients
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Be able to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment
You will also be required to work at least 38 hours a week and your annual remuneration will be $80,000+ superannuation .
