About the Company

Our client, Aysha Holdings Pty Limited t / a Circa Espresso offering relaxed table service, serving authentic food, is looking to fill a full-time position for Chef. The café takes pride in its ability to deliver quality food and a superior service every time.

The client is looking for an experienced Chef with the passion and ability to drive the kitchen, create amazing food offerings and lead the team.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day culinary operations, including innovative menu offerings, food safety and hygiene compliance to ensure consistent and quality standards are achieved.

Minimum Requirements

Be qualified in hospitality with an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with at least 3 years full-time experience as a Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with Circa Espresso's seasonal, produce-focused menu philosophy.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff during service to maintain smooth workflow, timely service, and consistent food quality.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, rotating, and storing ingredients to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
  • Develop and contribute to new menu items that reflect Circa's Middle Eastern–influenced, contemporary café style while maintaining cost and quality targets.
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards are strictly followed, including maintaining kitchen cleanliness and proper equipment handling.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior staff and kitchen hands to uphold Circa's culinary standards and service culture.
  • Manage prep schedules and service timelines, adjusting workflow during peak periods to ensure efficient and high-quality output.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment to ensure safe and effective use.
  • Work collaboratively with the head chef, front-of-house team, and management to uphold Circa Espresso's reputation for exceptional dining experiences.
Skills & Qualities Required
  • Exceptional shift management capabilities
  • High standard of personal grooming and presentation
  • Sound knowledge of kitchen management including menu planning and costing
  • Good working knowledge of WHS standards
  • Highly organised with the ability to supervise and support the team in kitchen operations
