About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook high‑quality breakfast dishes and pub‑style meals to spec and on time.
  • Maintain excellent food presentation, portion control, and consistency across all services.
  • Manage prep efficiently so the kitchen is always ready for service.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (including cleaning schedules and storage).
  • Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service and communication.
  • Help with stock rotation, ordering, and minimizing waste.
  • Contribute ideas for specials and menu improvements when required.
  • Support a positive, respectful, and safe kitchen culture.
About You
  • Self‑motivated and reliable – you take ownership of your section and don’t need micromanaging.
  • Strong experience with breakfast service (eggs, hot breakfast plates, sides, etc.).
  • Confident with pub‑style food: schnitzels, burgers, parmas, steaks, salads, sides, and comfort dishes.
  • Able to handle busy services while staying organised and calm.
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
  • A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexible with shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a café, pub, or restaurant.
  • Relevant culinary qualification (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements (gluten‑free, vegetarian, vegan) is essential.
