Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook high‑quality breakfast dishes and pub‑style meals to spec and on time.
- Maintain excellent food presentation, portion control, and consistency across all services.
- Manage prep efficiently so the kitchen is always ready for service.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (including cleaning schedules and storage).
- Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service and communication.
- Help with stock rotation, ordering, and minimizing waste.
- Contribute ideas for specials and menu improvements when required.
- Support a positive, respectful, and safe kitchen culture.
- Self‑motivated and reliable – you take ownership of your section and don’t need micromanaging.
- Strong experience with breakfast service (eggs, hot breakfast plates, sides, etc.).
- Confident with pub‑style food: schnitzels, burgers, parmas, steaks, salads, sides, and comfort dishes.
- Able to handle busy services while staying organised and calm.
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
- A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Flexible with shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a café, pub, or restaurant.
- Relevant culinary qualification (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
- Knowledge of dietary requirements (gluten‑free, vegetarian, vegan) is essential.
- A supportive, down‑to‑earth team environment.
