Salary: Competitive salary $75,000 – $90,000 per annum (depending on experience) + superannuation
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team on a permanent full-time basis (minimum 38 hours per week). The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing, cooking, and plating high-quality dishes that reflect Longview’s seasonal and contemporary Australian menu.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to Longview’s standards and recipes.
- Maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including food preparation, stock rotation, and hygiene.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health and safety matters.
- Assist with menu suggestions, specials, and cost control initiatives.
- At least 1 year of experience as a professional Cook/Chef in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated skill in contemporary food preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Relevant culinary qualifications (desirable but not essential).
