With growing customer demand, the restaurant is seeking to strengthen its kitchen team with a qualified and experienced Chefs.
About the RoleFranky’s Milperra is seeking skilled Chefs to support its kitchen operations. The successful candidates will work closely with the Senior Chef to prepare and cook high-quality dishes, contribute to menu planning and seasonal updates, and ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen service.
Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with established recipes and quality standards
- Coordinate with the Senior Chef in planning and developing menu items, including specials and seasonal offerings
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff during food preparation and service periods
- Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, and food storage practices to minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
- Support the Senior Chef in maintaining kitchen workflow during busy service times
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally within a busy restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior kitchen staff in menu development
- Excellent time management and attention to detail under pressure
