Chef De Partie - Orpheus Island Lodge

About us Part of Morris Escapes, a curated portfolio of boutique sustainable lodges and experiences that showcase Far North Queensland's REEF - OUTBACK - HINTERLAND. Orpheus is an all-inclusive, private island lodge with 14 rooms, suites and villas across 11km of turquoise coastline, and part of Luxury Lodges of Australia.

We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our team, through until the end of January 2026.

Role requirements

• Excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles.
• A supportive and strong team member.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to cater for dietaries without compromising on enjoyment.
• Reliable and flexible attitude.
• A natural communicator who finds it easy to chat to guests & other staff.

Skills & requirements

• Minimum two years experience within a similar standard of kitchen
• Experience in luxury lodges or retreats is essential
• Excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles
• Experience in daily changing menus is favourable
• Ability to work autonomously
• Supportive and strong team player
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Flexible approach

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistency and highest quality in taste, presentation and appropriate food for guests at luxury lodge
• Preparation of hot and cold food, including breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Working cohesively and productively with all other departments of the business
