We are current seeking a Chef to work within our team based in Cessnock. This role is responsible for ensuring food and service is of a high quality, and will involve cooking and serving for customers, residents and clients.
The Position- Create and serve high-quality dishes that meet our standards and delight our customers, residents, and clients.
- Manage inventory by accepting deliveries, properly storing ingredients, and ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Keep the kitchen and all equipment clean, organised, and in good working condition.
- Implement effective catering management practices to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
- Work closely with team members and interact positively with residents to enhance their dining experience.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Uphold and encourage our culture of safety within the kitchen and the broader team.
- Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served following strict food safety guidelines.
- Hold a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Previous experience cooking in a similar environment is essential
- Have ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- Have a good understanding of operating a catering operation within strict budgetary constraints
- A team player and able to work autonomously
- NPC: must be willing to obtain a National Police Check
