Job DescriptionCore responsibilities
Work as part of Club Sapphire team
- Develop and update product and Club knowledge and job skills on an ongoing basis
- Demonstrate acceptance of constructive criticism and a willingness for self-improvement
- Maintain a positive and cooperative approach to colleagues and customers
- Carry out assigned duties in a timely and professional manner
- Adhere to health, hygiene safety and security policies
- Follow workplace procedures and instructions
- Contribute to achievement of team objectives
- Perform other duties as required
Prepare and cook quality food
- Participate in safe food handling practices
- Check food to ensure its quality
- Prepare food for cooking using a range of kitchen equipment
- Ensure all recipes and preparation requirements are met
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Cook food by a range of cookery skills and methods (baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming, for example)
- Follow standard production recipes
- Ensure the food is well presented
- Prepare food displays and buffets
- Clean kitchen premises and equipment
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment
Previous experience working in a high-volume food/dining environment, ideally possessing skills and interests in a particular cuisine/s;
Chef qualification or commensurate experience/credentials
Able to work evenings, weekends and PH's
Work cooperatively and professionally in a fast-paced team environment
