About the RoleAs we continue to grow, we are seeking experienced Casual Chefs to join our team and work collaboratively across a variety of aged care and hospital settings. This role is ideal for an adaptable and innovative chef with a passion for creating nutritious meals that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Responsibilities- Follow food safety principles for handling, preparation and storage of food in line with Aged Care Standards and legislation.
- Prepare, cook and present nutritious meals for residents and patients.
- Ensure special dietary and texture‑modified meals are prepared accurately according to resident dietary need and hygiene standards.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and provide clear direction ensuring services meet high standards.
- Manage stock efficiently and economically within budget and minimise waste.
- Set up and maintain cleanliness and sanitisation of work areas.
- Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Previous experience in hospital or aged care kitchens, including supervisory responsibilities
- Current knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety principles
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months)
