Busy Bees at Geelong West is seeking a reliable and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our team and play a vital role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and development through nutritious, high-quality meals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef who enjoys structured weekday hours, values meaningful work, and wants to be part of a supportive early learning community.

About the Role

• Preparing and cooking daily meals for children in line with approved menus
• Catering for allergies, cultural needs, and individual dietary requirements
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
• Managing food preparation areas in line with health regulations
• Working collaboratively with the Centre Director and educators
• Supporting children’s positive relationship with food and healthy eating habits
• Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and Busy Bees policies

What You’ll Need

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or relevant experience as a Chef / Cook)
• Experience working in a childcare or similar environment (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and allergen management
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee) – VIC requirement
• Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• A warm, reliable, and team-focused approach
