As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold food items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook hot and cold food items responsibly.
- Follow menu specifications and recipes diligently, checking for quality and presentation.
- Adhere to strict compliance and quality control protocols, completing required documentation.
- Produce and portion items according to specific control specifications while minimizing food wastage.
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas, including food preparation surfaces and utensils.
- Uphold a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness, in line with the organization’s requirements.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- At least 7 years experience as a fully qualified Chef
- Excellent knife Skills
- Previous experience in a large commercial kitchen is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and other food safety measures.
- Ability to understand and adhere to specifications and recipes is essential.
- Capability to work under pressure in a high-volume production team environment.
- Availability for seven-day rotating rosters is essential.
