Chef – Full-Time | Salary : $75,000–$80,000 + Super | blu eatery ( .au)
blu eatery is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to our standards, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety compliance, and contributing to menu development. This is a full-time, ongoing position.
Key Duties- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to established recipes and quality standards.
- Oversee section operations and contribute to creating new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage stock, ordering, and cost control to meet budget targets.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, HACCP compliance, and ensure correct storage and handling of food.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams and communicate effectively with management and suppliers.
- Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and safety standards.
- Ability to supervise staff and manage workflow efficiently.
- Menu development experience and understanding of cost control principles.
- Ability to adapt dishes for dietary requirements and maintain high presentation standards.
$75,000 to $80,000 per annum + superannuation , commensurate with experience.
