Role Description

This is an on‑site casual Chef role located in Newcastle, NSW. The Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating high‑quality meals. Responsibilities include menu planning, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Chef will also collaborate with the team to deliver an exceptional dining experience that aligns with ALH’s commitment to creating memorable guest moments.

Qualifications

• Proven culinary skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Experience in menu planning with an understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean kitchen.
• Strong team collaboration, leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Passion for delivering top‑tier hospitality and creating exceptional dining experiences.
• Formal culinary training or equivalent experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus.
