Roccella Italian Restaurant is now looking for an experienced Chef to join their team.
Right candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring temperature of raw and cooked food to avoid any hazard;
- Ensuring that junior chefs and trainees receive the right training and optimum guidance;
- Train new members for platings and cooking procedures;
- Respect the hygiene requirements including managing service for customers with allergies;
- Serve and present food up to the required standards;
- Coordinate timing with the other sections during service;
- Supervising kitchen team members;
- Prepare and cook high quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes;
- Cooking a variety of dishes from the menu;
- Wash, cut and slice vegetables and fruit for meal preparations;
- Slice, cut, season and cook fish, steaks, burgers and other types of meat;
- Making pasta and sauces from scratches;
About you:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Chef;
- Strong cooking and management skills;
- Ability to work unsupervised and for extended periods of time;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to manage Food orders and own section;
Job type: Permanent / full-time
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
