The Alpine Hotel is seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team in Bright, Victoria.

The Alpine Hotel Bright has two fully functional kitchens on two levels within the building.

Both levels accommodate large group bookings, events, standard dining facilities and outdoor dining.

This locally owned and operated family venue is proud to support the community and welcome visitors.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking meals to our high standards using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Ensuring all food preparation and cooking areas are clean, organised and meeting health and safety regulations.

Maintaining stock levels and placing orders for necessary supplies.

Training and supervising kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards.

Assisting with menu planning and development to keep our offerings fresh and innovative.

Collaborating with the management team to improve kitchen operations and efficiency.

What we're looking for

Formal culinary training or equivalent experience as a Chef.

A strong understanding of food preparation, presentation and kitchen management.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

A creative flair and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Culinary skills with a strong understanding of seasonal, regional and contemporary Australian cuisine.

Proven time management, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Availability over weekends, holidays and events.
