We are hiring an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Sharjah, UAE. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, creating menus, and maintaining food quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining establishment and must be able to work under pressure and lead a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and developing new dishes
- Oversee all aspects of food production and maintain high quality standards
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle any customer complaints or issues regarding food quality or service
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.
