About the Role

As the Café / Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily food and beverage operations, ensuring excellent service standards, and providing a high‑quality dining experience for our guests. You will work closely with the Head Chef, Resort Manager, and service staff to deliver efficient operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate café / restaurant operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staffing requirements including rostering, supervising, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor quality of food and beverage service and ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee stock control, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and meet revenue and cost‑control targets.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure positive guest experiences.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a safe and positive work culture.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management (or a closely related field); OR at least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Café / Restaurant Manager (or in a similar management role).
  • Proven ability to manage a team in a busy hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations and customer service.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, stock control, and rostering.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings as required.
