Job Description

We are seeking a full‑time Bar Barista to join our team and provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all of our lounge guests. All of our roles are focused on exciting our guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Brew coffee and espresso drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, etc.).
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic drinks such as cocktails, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
  • Follow standard recipes and adjust based on customer preferences.
  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders and answer any questions regarding the menu.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment such as coffee machines and bar space.
  • Maintain a clean work area, including countertops, seating areas, and barware.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, alcohol, and other ingredients.
  • Replenish ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Inform management of any low-stock items.
  • Work closely with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders.
  • Assist team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications
  • Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol).
  • Experience in a similarly fast‑paced, busy environment.
  • Experience in making coffees and alcoholic beverages.
  • A motivated personality and enthusiasm for food and drink.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team.
  • Ability to assist on the floor if required.
  • Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, evenings and on weekends.
  • Ability to obtain Federal Police clearance to work in restricted areas associated with the airport.

You will be engaged to work under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009].
