Fino Vino is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager.

We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Manager who is well versed in all aspects of the bar with extensive cocktail experience, sound wine knowledge, delivers great service and understands the operations of the restaurant.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will ensure Fino Vino operates efficiently and profitably whilst maintaining Fino's reputation and ethos.

The hands‑on role includes, but is not limited to assisting the Restaurant Manager with daily operations to ensure a seamless service, driving a positive guest experience, delivering standards aligned with Fino's benchmark of professionalism, staff training and development.

The role does retain a level of autonomy being a busy city operation where leadership and problem‑solving skills will be required to navigate the success of the restaurant, on a consistent and daily basis.

This is a professional hospitality environment, and a great opportunity to work with a creative team. This hands‑on role is ideal for a professional, with previous experience in a restaurant, wine bar and cocktail bar who wants to take the next step in career development.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Leading the FOH team to ensure the smooth and profitable operation of the restaurant at all times.

Offering an exceptional standard of restaurant customer service in‑line with Fino expectations.

Supervise staff members and ensure they are following best practise in operations.

Manage services, organise staff and supervise shifts to an exceptional level.

Operational functionalities for seamless service.

Efficiently take, set‑up and confirm restaurant bookings.

Follow up phone and email enquiries for bookings at Fino Vino.

Detailed understanding and knowledge of the Fino brand, menus, wine lists and supplier stories.

Increasing sales at all opportunities through suggestive, educated selling.

Communicating clearly with the Head Chef and back of house team during service.

Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions following Fino guidelines.

Efficient operation of cash point of sale POS system ensuring a high level of accuracy.

Staff development and ongoing training.

Team building and development in conjunction with management.

Nurturing a positive working environment and continually leading by example.

Assisting with the beverage program within budgets in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager and Sharon Romeo.

Wage controls and business development.

Ensuring Responsible Service of Alcohol is practiced at all times.

Maintaining hygienic food handling practices and cleanliness.

Safety and cleanliness of restaurant, bar area, bathrooms and storage areas.

Safety of yourself, staff and patrons during service and after leaving.
