The Embassy Hotel in the heart of Brisbane CBD is looking for a passionate & driven Assistant Manager. The Embassy Hotel is part of the Conias Hotel Group which has two venues within the city and the successful applicant may be required to work at the other venue when required.
ABOUT THE ROLEAs an Assistant Manager you will be a critical part of the venue operations team, working closely with the Operations Manager and be responsible for:
- Enhancing workplace culture and atmosphere, being that of a fun, friendly and welcoming environment
- Inspiring, motivating and leading an entire front of house team
- In charge of all shift operations from the setup, running and pack down of the venue. Cash handling, legislative compliance and performance management.
- Conflict management & management of complex operational issues.
- Oversee all bars and food service areas
- Oversee and drive gaming operations
- Exceptional customer service
- Daily Shift Reports and implementing procedures within the venue
- Working within a budget and achieving KPI’s
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Previous experience in similar role essential
- Diploma in Hospitality Management an advantage but not essential
- Experienced in all hotel operations - Gaming (essential), KENO, Bars, Food and Beverage
- RSA, RSG, First Aid and RMLV
- Experience in rostering
- Enjoy working hands on as well as efficiently when it comes to reporting and paperwork
- Ability to meet and work towards both your own and the venue goals/deadlines
- Someone who has flexibility in working nights and weekends on a rotating roster
- Inspiring, motivating and able to provide coaching and mentoring to staff
