Chandler Macleod are seeking experienced Chefs to join a dynamic team within a large catering facility in Tullamarine. Our client is a leading and successful food manufacturing giant supplying meals to many of the globe's major Airlines.
Your role will involve preparing, cooking, and assembling food to exceed customer expectations. This is a casual role with full-time hours and opportunities to progress to perm.
Shift Times:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM start
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM start
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and assemble food based on client specifications
- Maintain and adhere to HACCP and OHS policies and standards.
- Work under tight time constraints to meet KPIs and customer demands
- Manage food production, including stock levels and quantities
- Conduct quality control checks throughout production
- Supervise and coordinate the work of Catering Assistants
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Recent experience in a food manufacturing or high-volume kitchen environment
- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Flexibility to work both day and afternoon shifts
- Availability for on-call shifts or overtime as required
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Full working rights and availability in Australia
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
- A passion for food and customer satisfaction
