OverviewCatering HQ is seeking a talented and dedicated Pastry Chef to join our amazing kitchen team at Catering HQ Wholefoods production kitchen.
Catering HQ is a family run company that was established in 1996. We currently have 15 fabulous venues across Sydney and Melbourne. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality meals and exceptional customer service, and we continually adapt to evolving market trends for our restaurants, cafés and events to keep menus and décor fresh and inviting.
Duties & Responsibilities- Must display excellent prep, baking and presentation skill
- Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
- Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
- Ability to handle large service numbers providing desserts for all venues
- Exceptional knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
- Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
- Confidence to put forward new ideas and listen and learn
- Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
- Immaculate presentation and grooming
Key Qualities- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Be flexible with working hours - Shifts are 2pm until 10pm
- A team spirit, bright and positive demeanour
