The Good Times Pub Group, Queensland’s fastest growing Hotel Group, is now seeking applications for an experienced Chef willing to work between venues, primarily at the Burnside Tavern, Yatala and other shifts at Pimpama Pavilion, Pimpama. You will be working with a supportive and talented team under the guidance of our Head Chef.
This full time salary position requires the availability, for the successful candidate, to work across a 7-day roster including weekdays and nights, weekends, split shifts and public holidays, alternating between two venues within the group.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Food preparation and presentation
Ensuring expectations of service are consistently met
Catering for functions such as parties for up to 50 people
Ensuring menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed
Maximise profitable food revenue
Assist with ordering for kitchen and regular stocktake processes
Maintaining a clean, compliant and efficient kitchen
Essential Requirements include:
Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor certification preferred
Demonstrated experience in a similar role - café, bistro, tavern or hotel
Passion for cooking, presenting and serving fantastic food
Food stock control and ordering knowledge
Excellent time management and communication skills
MUST have own reliable transport and hold a current open drivers licence
