The opportunity
Neighbourhood Beer and Whisky is looking for an experienced and talented Chef or Cook to join our team at our NEW brewery/distillery in Rosebud, Victoria. As our Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for creating and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests through the preparation and presentation of high-quality, innovative dishes.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and executing creative and flavourful menus that showcase the best of seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients

• Overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

• Collaborating with the management team to monitor food costs, wastage, and inventory to ensure efficient and profitable kitchen operation

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and implementing best practices in the kitchen

• 4-5 days a week full time!

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Chef/Cook in a fast-paced, restaurant environment

• Experience making pizzas.

• Strong working knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation styles

• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a busy kitchen

• Passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create innovative and delicious dishes

• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your kitchen staff

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

• Australian work rights essential for this position

• Availability to work weekends as part of shift patterns
