Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality menu items to an advanced standard.
Perform general and specialised cooking duties (e.g., pastry, butchery, specialised cuisine tasks).
Lead a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service.
Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff and kitchen assistants.
Assist with developing specials, contributing to menu ideas and seasonal offerings.
Ensure all mise en place is completed to a high standard and stations are service-ready.
Uphold all food safety compliance standards and support the kitchen’s WHS responsibilities.
Assist in maintaining stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation.
Take responsibility during shifts when Head Chef is absent.
Support the development of a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
Salary: AUD$78,000 + super
