About the Job

Cairns RSL Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team at our leading community club in Cairns.

This is a full-time position offering a minimum of 38 hours per week across 5 days over a 7-day roster.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen management

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu requirements

  • Ensure consistency, presentation, and portion control of all dishes

  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations

  • Assist with menu planning and stock control

  • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent), or

  • At least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team environment

Salary:

$70,000 to $85,000 per annum based on skills and experience, plus superannuation
