Cairns RSL Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team at our leading community club in Cairns.
This is a full-time position offering a minimum of 38 hours per week across 5 days over a 7-day roster.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Kitchen management
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu requirements
Ensure consistency, presentation, and portion control of all dishes
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
Assist with menu planning and stock control
Work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant trade qualification (Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent), or
At least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a team environment
Salary:
$70,000 to $85,000 per annum based on skills and experience, plus superannuation
