The Opportunity

The Morley Local is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. In this full-time role, you will play an important part in delivering quality pub-style meals and supporting smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. This position is based at our Morley venue in WA and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, community-focused hospitality environment.

Salary: $76,000-$80,000 plus superannuation

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present Australian pub-style dishes in line with menu and portion standards
• Ensure food quality, taste and presentation remain consistent at all times
• Assist with daily kitchen operations including preparation, service and clean-down
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness
• Monitor stock rotation, assist with ordering and minimise food wastage
• Work efficiently during busy service periods including weekends and evenings
• Support teamwork and smooth communication within the kitchen

What we’re looking for

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Chef in a pub, café or restaurant environment
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
• Excellent communication, good time management, reliability and teamwork skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
