BARISTA - FULL TIME

Salary: $65,200 - $75,000 pa

Purpose: A Barista who serves customers and prepares a variety of beverages, particularly espresso based drinks with the knowledge of different types of coffee at a faced pace. Main responsibilities are welcoming customers, taking customer orders, preparing beverages using a coffee machine and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.

Tasks and Duties
  • Welcoming customers, taking their orders and handling payments
  • Grinding coffee using a coffee grinder and adjusting the grinder as needed
  • Preparing espresso-based coffee drinks, such as long black, flat white, latte and cappuccino
  • Preparing other beverages, including tea, hot chocolate and cold drinks
  • Keeping coffee-making equipment clean throughout the day and following a procedure to thoroughly clean the equipment at the end of the day
  • Replenishing shelves and fridges with items such as baked goods, snacks and bottled drinks
  • Training new employees on how to operate equipment and prepare different drinks

COOK - FULL TIME

Salary: $65,200 - $75,000 pa

Purpose: To prepare and cook a variety of delicious dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation at Mammas Kitchen.

Tasks and Duties
  • Prepare, season, and cook a range of menu items to Mammas Kitchen's high standards.
  • Examine foodstuffs to ensure quality and regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
  • Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Assist with menu development and testing of new recipes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons.
  • Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements as needed.
  • May train other kitchen staff and apprentices.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant Certificate III or Certificate IV in Hospitality or a related field (preferable)
  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience.
HOSPITALITY WORKER - FULL TIME

Salary: $65,200 - $75,000 pa

Purpose: This role involves serving customers, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in our café. Our ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys interacting with people, and has a knack for customer service. Ultimately, the Café Staff’s role is to ensure our customers have a memorable and enjoyable visit to our café.

Tasks and Duties
  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take and prepare customer orders accurately and promptly
  • Handle cash transactions with customers, issue receipts and return change
  • Ensure all food and drinks are prepared to a high standard
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café
  • Restock display cases and keep track of inventory
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns or complaints
  • Work effectively as part of a team
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven work experience in a café, restaurant, or similar customer service role
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
