👇 ROLE 1: SPECIALTY BARISTA / CAFÉ ALL-ROUNDER
Approx. 30 hours per week | Saturday availability required
Perfect for someone looking for a barista job, café job, or hospitality role in Canberra with a focus on quality coffee and customer service.

☕ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Dialling in espresso and adjusting grinders daily
• Preparing specialty coffee, espresso, and milk-based drinks
• Latte art (desirable)
• Preparing filter coffee (V60 / pour over)
• Customer service – greeting and serving customers
• Cash handling and POS operation
• Running food and drinks to tables
• Making smoothies and milkshakes
• Cleaning and maintaining café work areas
• Restocking food, drinks, and retail shelves

🎯 SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 12 months barista experience
• Experience with espresso machines (San Remo Cafe Racer)
• Latte art skills (desirable)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

👇 ROLE 2: BARISTA TRAINER / COFFEE TRAINER
Leadership Role | Training & Development Focus
Ideal for an experienced barista looking for a barista trainer job.

☕ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Train beginner baristas entering the coffee industry
• Upskill existing baristas to a professional specialty coffee standard
Teach:
• Espresso extraction and dialling in
• Grinder adjustment and consistency
• Milk texturing and latte art
• Run structured barista training sessions (1-on-1 and group)
• Develop and improve training systems and processes
• Maintain high coffee quality and consistency across the team
• Support café operations during service

• Strong specialty coffee experience
• Advanced barista skills (dialling in, consistency, workflow)
• Confident latte art and milk texturing
• Experience training or mentoring staff (highly regarded)
• Strong communication and leadership skills

• High attention to detail and quality
